Pomalinks
The 2007-08 Pomalinks attended UDA's National Dance
Team Championship in Orlando, Florida after receiving
first place at the Creighton summer dance camp.
The Pomalinks competed in the Large Varsity Hip-Hop
division against over 30 other teams from across the
country. Their routine, "Lip Gloss," was choreographed by
Lincoln native Lacey Houchen, who currently resides in
Los Angeles, California.
This was the first time any dance team from LHS attended
the Nationals, although many previous teams have also
qualified.
Aly Hart is the sponsor and coach for the Pomalinks. She attended Lincoln High
School where she was a member and captain of the dance team for three years.
She received her Accounting degree from UNL and is now employed full-time by
Talent Plus. In addition to her role as coach for LHS, she is also a teacher at
Hart Dance Academy, where she has danced since childhood. Go Links!

The 2008-09 Pomalinks received 4th place in the Small
Varsity Hip-Hop division at UDA's Spirit of America
competition inside the Mall of America, Minneapolis,
MN. They performed the routine "Shut Up and Let Me
Go" choreographed by Lacey Houchen.
The Pomalinks upheld their 8-year tradition by
performing with Hart Dance Academy's Shim Sham
Tap Troupe. The Shim-Shams must be age 55+ to join.
Several of the ladies are alums of LHS. They performed
the crowd-favorite, "Pretty Woman".

2009-10 Pomalinks at UDA Camp with awards.
They received 3rd place for their home routine, the
Leadership Award and spirit sticks every night! Emily
Martinez and Joanna Harris were named All-
Americans. Great job, girls!

Chelsea Heavican is the new assistant coach for the squad this year. Chelsea
graduated from Lincoln High in 2008 and was a member of the Pomalinks team
under the direction of Aly, served as a captain and competed at the UDA Nationals
in Orlando, FL. She also dances and teaches at En Pointe Dance Academy through
the YWCA here in Lincoln.
Chelsea is a student at UNL, studying Secondary Education.

The Pomalinks participate in Girls on The Run with an
80's theme.
